The Identity Tilt

Social and cultural geographic perspectives on identity politics and fandom

About me

I am a MPhil/PhD candidate in geography at Manchester Metropolitan University examining constructions and negotiations of gender, sexuality and queer politics within geographies of Eurovision Song Contest fandom. I am also exploring the ways in which these identities intersect with each other and other categories of identity such as nationality, age and class politics.

I am also an uber fan of the Eurovision Song Contest and enjoy music, film, an excellent TV drama and Strictly Come Dancing.

I am also the Website Officer for the Social and Cultural Geography Research Group, in association with the Royal Geographic Society (with IBG).
